Your comfort and care above all else.
What we do…
Everyone’s needs are different and not everyone will see progress in the same way. At Therapy with Olivia, our psychologists use this knowledge as the cornerstone of every beginning, specially tailoring our approaches based on your needs, previous experience with therapy, and the reason you have started therapy. By working in this person-centred approach, therapy becomes more comfortable and beneficial for our clients. Whether you prefer talk-therapy, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy or a trauma-informed approach, we will combine techniques to best suit you. This may include things like journaling, thought recording and restructuring, or mediation and yoga.
While Therapy with Olivia focuses on the expatriate and LGBTQ+ experiences, we pride ourselves in providing a safe and understanding space for all people — no matter where you’re from, who you are, or who you love. Our goal is to offer a diverse team that reflects the diverse population we work with every day.
Education is a tool…
It is crucial for each of our clients to feel in control of their sessions, their progress, and their lives. We want every person leaving feeling as though they’ve learned more about themselves and mental health in general.
Education is a strong tool, a necessity to survive. Not only do we educate each client on therapy and their options, but we also want to educate the general public, leading to the creation of the blog. These topics range from mental health in the media, LGBTQ+ mental health and related topics, and current events with a mental health twist.
